Avoid Fraud

URGENT Message to our Members:

Fraudsters are using TEXT MESSAGES, PHONE CALLS, E-MAILS, AND MALICIOUS WEBSITES to make you fall victim to their schemes. It’s important to remember that fraudsters are clever at gaining your trust and gathering your personal information.

If you are contacted, do not provide any card expiration date, verification code, or other personal information to verify your ownership of the account. These requests are FRAUDULENT. DO NOT click or respond to mail/text and if called, hang up immediately.

It should be noted that the incoming/originating number on caller ID, text message, or e-mail address can be fabricated to appear as though the call/text is from a legitimate source, such as your credit union, or to hide the actual number on the screen. UNOFCU will never ask you to provide information by any of those methods.

Preventative measures remain the same with all similar types of scams:

  • VERIFY the source of the call by calling your financial institution directly.

  • NEVER PROVIDE personal information or confidential data over e-mail, telephone, or via text message.

  • CONTACT your credit union and/or local law enforcement if such a call or text message is received.

If you have provided personal information, immediately call the appropriate number below 24/7 to cancel your debit/credit card and request a new card:

(800) 325-3678 Lost or Stolen Visa Credit Cards

(866) 546-8273 Lost or Stolen ATM or Mastercard Debit Cards

Thank you! Be Safe! Stay well!
